Question SOLVED: Exhaust Valve Guide Stuck Help!

Hey guys,

For an Angel A1.
I'm replacing my exhaust valve guide and have followed the steps in the step by step guide. Step #10 i can't do.

"Using a blunt pick, carefully extract the exhaust valve guide as shown"

I've tried pulling it with a metal sculpting tool and tried pushing it from through the top with the bolt open. It will not budge at all.

Any help? Have i missed something?

I take off the front block, remove the ram, and use a battle swab to push it out the front. Less chance of anything getting scratched.

BTW, you can only take it out the front anyway.

Is it possible you didn't remove the retaining pin?

When you take the grip frame off there's 3 metal pins that go up into the body. There's one for the ram, one for the LPR, and one for the valve. You have to remove that pin before the valve body will come out.

be sure you keep the body upside down after you remove the grip frame because those pins can fall out and cause u some probs. and be sure to unplug the board and eyes b4 you remove grip frame. like sight said, i also take off the back cap and remove the ram. that way you can push the valve out with a squeegie or a wooden spoon

i haven't done it yet, but are you about the trigger grip? Or are you talking about the foregrip with the regulator.
Cause i have gotten the regulator grip off and the large pin out from that. I have the front off the gun, but the valve guide inside the gun is still in there.

You need to remove the regulator foregrip AND the grip frame, remove the valve pin, and then you will be able to remove the valve body. The manual discusses how to remove the foregrip and valve; the grip frame is pretty self explanatory.

Ooofh, I hope the valve wasn't destroyed from trying to get it out with the pin still in?

I hate to sound rude, the manual is your friend too : )

I've been looking at the manyual and the guides. Do i use the grease or the angel juice for these exhaust parts i'm inserting back in?
The lube says greese but i would thought the joice oil?

Are you meant to use oil in some places and grease in others or it a or the other type of thing?

The grease goes on the orings, and the oil goes in the asa to lube all the internal parts.

If you want, you could lightly lube/oil the cupseal, but I don't think it will do much good if any.

The grease cards are designed for assemblers who will pack the guns for storage/distribution. A lot of the areas where they show grease or loctite doesn't need a second application by the end user (eye ribbons, eye covers and cup seals for example). You can just reassemble and go. If anything you can lightly grease the cup seal/valve stem, but you don't have to.
